I was told that the above service provider has offline. They were one of the few who has implemented Satellite Broadband services here in Malaysia and all of the sudden, it went offline just like that. There were no news from Smart Malaysia web site and the web site is still advertising the sales of the services. News from KL is that they went bust.

They don’t have the money to pay the satellite provider New Skies (NSS6)

This is how I got the info.

Call SMART and demanded to speak to the CEO. He told
me satellite transponder problem.
Emailed New Skies and asked what actually happen to the transponder and told
them the problem is pointing to them by SMART.
Got a call from New Skies Singapore office and he told me that SMART have
not pay them.

What had happen to the money they colected from the Goverment for Smart
School Internet Project?

Please spread this news.

I’m frustrated cause my company is using it and no internet connection for
some top guys in rural areas.
